Robert Singer

Bob Singer is a Professor of Accounting. During his tenure at Lindenwood University, he has taught a wide variety of both financial and cost/managerial accounting coursework at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

His research interests include the cultural and institutional impact of replacing rules-based US financial reporting with principles-based international financial reporting standards (IFRS), the value relevance of proposed financial reporting standards, and the transition from the passive learning lecture model to student-centered learning. In connection with these interests, he has published a number of articles in both peer-reviewed academic and professional journals.

Dr. Singer is an active member of the Technical Issues Group of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants and an active member of the International Section of the American Accounting Association. He is a certified public accountant in the State of Missouri. He received his Ph.D. from St. Louis University in 1996.
