Jim Mosquera

Jim Mosquera leads The Hammond Institute for Free Enterprise and is the Director of the Duree Center for Entrepreneurship.

 

His career experience includes working as an engineer, sales and corporate executive in the fields of telecommunications and technology. During his time in technology, he was awarded a U.S. patent for the development of a desktop application. He also traded commodity futures for his own account, obtained a Series 3 certification, and developed trading software.  Jim later founded a consultancy assisting the SMB market with alternative financing and debt restructuring. 

 

His research interests in the financial markets led to serving as editor for online financial journals.  He founded his own publishing company where he authored a series on the financial markets and economy (Escaping Oz series) and a political thriller series (Chandler Scott thrillers).  Most recently, he published a novella, Seth's Epic Journey, focusing on humankind's existential considerations.

Jim received his B.S. and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri. His Master's thesis centered on Operations Research and Computer Simulation.
