Javeria Farooqi
Javeria Farooqi joined Lindenwood in 2015. She is the Program Director and Associate Professor of Finance at the Plaster School of Business and Entrepreneurship. She is also responsible for the Student Managed Fund which she established through the generous donation made by the Lindenwood Universities Board of Trustees in 2018. Dr. Farooqi has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses, including managerial finance, principles of finance, investments, corporate finance, international finance, financial policy, portfolio management, and investment application.

Her research interests include international diversification in investments, style investing, the effects of diverse ownership, and finance education. She has presented her research at both national and international conferences, including the 33rd Annual Congress of the European Accounting Association, Southern Finance Association, and Academy of Economic and Finance. In addition, she has published her research in the Journal of Investing, Journal of Multinational Financial Management, Quarterly Review of Economics, Journal of Economics and Finance, Review of Accounting and Finance, and International Journal of Accounting.

Dr. Farooqi received her undergraduate degree, MBA, and Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from The University of Texas Pan-American (2007, 2010, 2014). She has completed her CFA level 1 and intends on pursuing the CFA designation. She has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards including UTPA Excellence, International Women’s Board, VIP Star Scholarships, and Texas Business Hall of Fame Scholarship.
