Gokhan EÄŸilmez

Gokhan EÄŸilmez is an Associate Professor of Management. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical and Systems Engineering, and M.S. degrees in ‘Industrial and Systems Engineering’ and ‘Civil Engineering’ at Ohio University. He received his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in Turkey.

Gokhan is passionate about teaching, specifically Analytics, Machine Learning, Sustainability, Supply Chain Management, and Computer Modeling. He likes to use experiential learning, project, problem, and inquiry-based learning in his teaching and integrate service learning into his courses. His research is focused on industrial applications of business analytics, machine learning, sustainability, simulation, and optimization modeling.

He previously worked as full-time faculty at the University of New Haven and North Dakota State University. Prior to his academic positions, Gokhan worked as a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering at the University of Central Florida, with a focus on sustainability assessment of manufacturing, construction, and service industries.
